Partner Terms
Last updated 1 October 2026 (version 2026-10-01). ServDog is based in Canada.
Who these terms are between
These terms are between ServDog Inc., 7398 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J 8J2, and the business that advertises with us. They cover advertising only. Our ordinary terms of use cover everything else on the site.
What you buy
A monthly placement on one of three plans: Partner, Featured, Premier. Each plan includes a profile page, a place in the business directory, and ads in the places that plan lists on the advertising page. Add-ons are one-off and are charged when they are delivered.
We invoice you monthly in advance, in the currency of your country’s page, plus any tax that applies. Invoices are due within 15 days. If an invoice is still unpaid 15 days after that, we pause your placement, and we email you before we do.
Founding partners: The first 25 businesses in Canada: half price for your first three months, then your price is held for 12 months from your start date. In the US, the same offer applies to the first 25 businesses in the US.
Starting, pausing and ending
Nothing is published until we have agreed your plan and set your start date.
You can end your plan at any time by email. It runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and there is no refund for part of a month.
We can end your plan with 30 days’ notice. We can also pause or end it sooner if:
- your ad or profile breaks the rules below and is not fixed within 7 days;
- an invoice is unpaid;
- your business closes; or
- we reasonably believe your business turned away an assistance-dog team, after you have had a chance to respond.
Whenever we end a placement, we refund the days you have paid for and not used, except when we end it for non-payment.
What your ad and profile may say
Your profile carries your own description, under a heading that says the words are yours. Our own words say only that your business welcomes assistance-dog teams.
Neither your words nor ours may call your business compliant, certified, approved, official or registered in anything to do with service or assistance dogs. Your own description may say you welcome other dogs too, but it must not describe assistance dogs as pets. We may decline or edit any text or photo that does not meet this, and we tell you when we do.
You confirm you have the right to let us publish the photos and words you send. You are responsible for your own content, and you will cover us for any claim that arises from it.
Naming your business
If you have given us permission to name your business as a partner, you can withdraw it at any time. We remove your name from the site and from any new material within 10 business days.
How ads appear
Every ad is labelled “Paid partner” on the ad itself. There are no stars or ratings. Ads never appear on the door screen, the handover, a dog’s public profile, the card, Scout’s answers, the refusal tools, or in any email.
Where more than one business shares a place, ads rotate. We do not promise a number of views or clicks.
What we do not do
We do not inspect or assess businesses, and a listing is not a promise to anybody about a visit. Advertising with us does not change what the law requires of your business, and we do not advise you on it.
Your monthly report
We count views and clicks on your ads ourselves, per place and per month. We use no cookies, no identifiers and no third-party scripts to do it, and we cannot tell you who looked.
Email and WhatsApp
We reply to your application and send your invoices and reports by email. Your consent to email about advertising is part of this agreement, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Updates on WhatsApp. While you're a ServDog partner, we'll send you a short update on WhatsApp about once a week: what we've done for your business, what's coming next, and your results once your page is live. We use your number only for these updates and to answer your questions. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP. Stopping them doesn't change your plan.
Liability
Each side’s liability to the other is capped at the fees paid in the 3 months before the claim. Neither side is liable for indirect losses.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Ontario, and the courts of Ontario decide any dispute. An electronic signature on these terms is valid.
