What this is
ServDog is a private registry. It is not a government agency, is not affiliated with any provincial program, the Canadian Transportation Agency, or the ADA, and registration does not create or confer any legal rights.
How a page gets published
Every legal statement on this site cites a primary source — the Act, the regulation, or the government page that says it — and shows the date it was last checked.
- 1. Researched against the source. The page is written from the consolidated text of the legislation, not from another website’s summary of it.
- 2. Open questions written down. Anything that could not be confirmed is recorded on the page rather than smoothed over. A page in this state is not published; it shows what has been checked so far and says plainly that it is still under review.
- 3. Checked again before publishing. A page goes public only after its sources have been read a second time and the open questions resolved. Until then you see the review state, not the claim.
This is why some provinces show as under review. We would rather show you nothing than show you law we have not confirmed. Every jurisdiction is here.
What we will not sell you
- A clinician’s letter, a “housing certificate”, or an “attorney letter”. A letter that carries weight comes from a health care professional who knows you.
- Certification. There is no national Canadian standard to certify against. The Canadian General Standards Board project was terminated in 2018 without publication.
- Access. Registration is not required anywhere in Canada, and nothing we issue creates or confers a legal right. Where your province runs a real program, we will tell you to apply there instead.
- A subscription. The record, the Taskbook, your documents and your QR code are free. The digital card and the card-and-tag bundle are one-off purchases. Nothing renews.
If we have something wrong
Tell us and we will correct it, and record the correction on the page with its date. A site that publishes law has to be correctable in public; that is the whole point of the review dates and the source lists.
