What we do
In a shop or a restaurant, no business may require a document — “A public accommodation shall not require documentation, such as proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal” (28 CFR § 36.302(c)(6)). We are not asking you to carry one. A ServDog record is free: your dog’s registration number, what it is trained to do, and the federal rule — on your phone, including when you have no signal. It is a record you keep, not a certificate, and not the document any law on this site asks for.

What ServDog is ServDog is a private registry. It is not a government agency, is not affiliated with any provincial program, the Canadian Transportation Agency, or the ADA, and registration does not create or confer any legal rights.
Registration as a service dog is not required under the ADA. Nothing we issue conveys rights. The ADA requires no certificate. We do not sell clinician letters.
